Support Offices Dress Code
Effective May 31, 2022
Casual attire is permitted every day, unless you’re visiting a store or meeting with representatives from an outside company.
This page generally explains what attire you are expected to wear at work if you work in our offices.
- Corporate office in Lakeland: These attire standards apply. In some business areas, officers may require more formal dress attire based on business requirements.
- Other office locations: Different attire standards may apply to your location. Talk to your manager if you have questions.
- All office associates: Follow the Retail Manager Dress Standards or traditional business attire standards below when visiting our stores or meeting with representatives from other companies. If you're visiting another company, you may follow that company’s attire policy if it’s been communicated ahead of time.
Attire not permitted at any time
- Distracting or revealing attire, such as sheer clothing (unless non-sheer clothing is worn under or over the sheer material), backless tops, tank tops, tube tops and low-cut shirts and dresses.
- Dresses, shirts or tops with straps narrower than 2 inches wide.
- Hats (except on weekends).
- Shorts (except on weekends).
- T-shirts with offensive graphics or slogans.
- Tight-fitting leggings (except when worn under a skirt, skort or dress that is no more than 3 inches above the top of your knee).
- Sweatpants and other gym attire.
- Flip-flops.
- Beachwear.
Exception: Athletic clothing and shoes is permitted at the end of the workday when leaving work directly for the gym or fitness classes.
Business casual attire
Follow the standards below if you’re asked to dress in business casual attire. Business casual attire is informal, neat and professional.
Allowed
- Skirts, skorts or dresses that are no more than 3 inches above the top of your knee.
- Trousers, slacks or capris that are below the knee.
- Casual or collared shirts or blouses.
- Shoes or sandals (sandals that have a strap between the toes must have a back strap unless they have at least a 1-inch heel.).
Not allowed
- T-shirts.
- Athletic shoes.
- Denim clothing or clothing that appears to be denim, regardless of color.
Traditional business attire
Traditional business attire is formal, neat and professional.
Allowed
- Professional skirts and dresses that are no more than 3 inches above the top of your knee.
- Professional trousers or slacks.
- Dress shirts or blouses.
- Suits or jackets (optional).
- Dress shoes.
- Socks.
Not allowed
- Dresses, shirts or tops with straps narrower than 2 inches wide.
- Sheer clothing (unless non-sheer clothing is worn under or over the sheer material).
Casual attire
Casual attire includes
- clothing that is wrinkle-free and clean, and fits properly
- blouses or collared shirts
- Designated days only (see below): T-shirts that may contain logos or graphics appropriate for work
- denim clothing with no rips, tears or fraying
- capri pants
- skirts, skorts or dresses that are no more than 3 inches above the top of your knee and
- shoes that are neat and clean, including
- athletic shoes or
- dressy sandals. Sandals that have a strap between the toes must have a back strap unless they have at least a 1-inch heel.
Designated T-shirt days
T-shirts are only permitted on
- Fridays and
- the following:
