All appearance standards are gender-neutral.

Piercings

Not allowed

Fad piercings

• Lip
• Eyebrow
• Nasal septum (cartilage between the nostrils)
• Industrial/bar piercings, etc.

Hair

Not allowed

Fad haircuts, whole-head coloring that is not a natural color or highlights in more than 2 colors.

Note: Publix-approved hair restraints must be worn in food preparation areas.

Facial hair

If you have facial hair, you must present a neat, clean and professional appearance. This includes

• a defined cheek line and neckline with the remainder of the face clean-shaven
• hair length no longer than approximately 2 inches and
• mustaches not hanging below the upper lip.

Note: Publix-approved beard restraints must be worn in food preparation areas.
