GreenWise Market announces Tampa location

If you’ve been wondering about the location of the next GreenWise Market, your wait is over! The latest new-concept store will be part of the Water Street Tampa development located in the Channelside area of Tampa, Florida. And, because the Publix GreenWise Market located on West Azeele Street (also in Tampa) is due to be remodeled, we’re taking the opportunity to convert it into a traditional Publix.

“We look forward to sharing our new-concept GreenWise Market with our Tampa customers,” said President Kevin Murphy. “Once they discover the unique products, atmosphere and prepared meals they can eat in the store or take with them as they enjoy the waterfront, they’ll see why we chose to go in a new direction with a brand they know and trust.”

The Azeele Street location conversion starts next month; the new-concept GreenWise Market is expected to open in late 2021. A traditional Publix Super Market also opens in the Channelside district this August.

The Tampa store at Channelside is our 11th announced new-concept GreenWise Market location. Our first new-concept store opened last year in Tallahassee, Florida, and a second location opened in May in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. A third location opened in Mountain Brook, Alabama, on June 27. The Lakeland, Florida; Boca Raton, Florida; and Lexington, South Carolina, stores are expected to open later this year.
