Flags lowered to honor late Rep. Elijah Cummings

Rep. Elijah Cummings was a civil rights advocate who began serving in the U.S. House of Representatives for Maryland’s 7th Congressional District in 1996. 

As a mark of respect for the memory and longstanding service of Rep. Cummings, President Trump has ordered all U.S. flags to be flown at half-staff. Flags at Publix offices will be lowered to half-staff through today. 

The Publix family is keeping the family of Rep. Cummings in our thoughts and prayers.
