We’re helping feed our neighbors in need

Every September, Feeding America works to call attention to the impact of food insecurity in the U.S. through Hunger Action Month. Helping alleviate hunger in our communities is at the heart of our charitable efforts. Here’s how we did good, together!

Publix Super Markets Charities (PSMC) donated $10 million
PSMC announced a donation of $6 million to 36 Feeding America partner food banks and more than 300 other nonprofit organizations focused on hunger alleviation. This donation is in addition to a special $4 million grant to select food banks in our operating area to fund nonrecurring capacity-building projects. These gifts bring the foundation’s investment in hunger alleviation to more than $52 million since 2015.

Publix Serves Week
Throughout the week of Sept. 17, over 7,500 associates volunteered at more than 150 organizations during Publix Serves Week. You helped distribute food at some of the 22 new mobile food pantries funded by PSMC, created meal kits, assembled snack packs for children, made soup kits for seniors and more to help feed our neighbors in need.
