Publix commemorates Patriot Day

Today marks the 22nd anniversary of 9/11. On Sept. 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 lives were lost during the deadliest terrorist attacks in U.S. history. Each year on this day, known as Patriot Day, we honor and remember all victims, survivors and heroes.

President Joe Biden has ordered the U.S. flag to be flown at half-staff through sunset today. As a mark of solemn respect for all victims, their loved ones and the rescue personnel affected by the 9/11 tragedy, Publix support locations will lower flags to half-staff today. Stores will observe a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. Eastern time.
