Publix commemorates Peace Officers Memorial Day

Each year on May 15, we recognize Peace Officers Memorial Day as part of National Police Week. This observance began in 1962 to honor local, state and federal law enforcement officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice or become disabled in the line of duty.

As a mark of solemn respect, President Biden has ordered the U.S. flag to be flown at half-staff through sunset today, May 15. Publix will fly flags at half-staff at all support locations. 

We are thankful for all law enforcement officers who answer the call to serve and protect us.
