Publix commemorates Fire Prevention Week

Fire Prevention Week is observed each year to encourage emergency preparedness, reaffirm our commitment to fire safety and honor firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. This year, Fire Prevention Week runs Oct. 9 – 15. 

To pay tribute to all fallen firefighters, President Biden has ordered all U.S. flags to be flown at half-staff until sunset today, Oct. 9. As a mark of solemn respect, all Publix support locations will fly flags at half-staff. 

We are grateful to all first responders who answer the call of duty to protect our nation every day.
