Flags lowered for Peace Officers Memorial Day

In 1962, Peace Officers Memorial Day was established to honor local, state and federal officers who have lost their lives or become disabled in the line of duty. We are grateful for all law enforcement officers across the country who protect us and the communities we live in every day.

Each year as a mark of solemn respect, the U.S. flag is ordered to be flown at half-staff through sunset today, May 15.

The U.S. flag was lowered Thursday in remembrance of the lives lost to COVID-19 and will be at half-staff through sunset tomorrow, May 16. Publix will continue to have flags at half-staff at all support locations.
