Publix truck driver wins division at national driving championships

Truck Driver David Guinn earned national recognition when he won the 5-axle division at the American Trucking Associations National Truck Driving Championships in Indianapolis last week. 

David began working for Publix in 2000. Before his win in Indianapolis, David competed in the 2022 Florida State Truck Driving Championship, where he also won 1st place in the 5-axle class and was named the state’s overall grand champion.  

“David is a dedicated Publix associate and a highly-skilled professional driver,” said Vice President of Distribution Mike Lester. “We’re extremely proud of him and his achievements in both the state and national competitions. Our drivers have the responsibility of not only delivering products to our stores to serve our customers, but also prioritizing and promoting safe driving. We are grateful for all they do.”
