Publix announces 8th state

Today Publix announced we signed a lease for our 1st store in Kentucky. The Louisville store will be located at the northwest corner of Terra Crossing Boulevard and Old Henry Road in Jefferson County. The Terra Crossing shopping center will feature a 55,702-square-foot store and an adjacent Publix Liquors, the first located outside the state of Florida, that will offer beer, wine and spirits.    

The grand opening date has yet to be determined and will depend on several factors, including permitting and completion of the store’s construction. However, the store is anticipated to open during the 4th quarter of 2023. Information regarding how associates can express interest in working at the store will be available on PASSport closer to the opening date.

Kentucky will mark our 8th state of operation. We are looking forward to growing within the commonwealth and in our current operating area.
