Today, we celebrate our founder George Jenkins, or Mr. George as we affectionately refer to him. Mr. George founded our company on philosophies that made Publix a great place to work. He created opportunities for associates to be company owners and have long, fulfilling careers. Mr. George’s birthday is Sept. 29, and we honor and remember him on this special day, Mr. George Day.

Today, retail associates will enjoy an in-store celebration and support associates will receive cake in the cafeteria.
