Publix recognizes Fire Prevention Week

Each year, we observe Fire Prevention Week to encourage emergency preparedness, reaffirm our commitment to fire safety and honor firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty. This year, Fire Prevention Week is Oct. 3 – 9.  

To commemorate this week and honor all fallen firefighters, President Biden has ordered the U.S. flag to be flown at half-staff today, Oct. 3. As a mark of solemn respect, all Publix support locations will fly flags at half-staff today. 

We are continuously grateful for our nation’s first responders who put their lives on the line to protect us every day.
