Two regional directors are promoted

Today President Kevin Murphy announced 2 regional director promotions, effective Jan. 1, 2022.  

With the promotion of Matt Crawley to Miami Division Vice President, Aissata Deme will be named Atlanta Division Regional Director, leading the central region.

At the same time, Atlanta Division Regional Director Keith Everett will transfer to the purchasing department in the corporate office as Business Development Director of Grocery Retail Support. With Keith’s move, Jasmin (Jaz) Ovcina will be named Atlanta Division Regional Director, leading the east region.

“These leaders have put in the work and dedication to continue making our stores successful,” said President Kevin Murphy. “As we remain focused on operational excellence, I’m looking forward to seeing how Aissata, Jaz and Keith will help Publix achieve our future growth plans.”

Aissata began her career in 1998 as a front service clerk at #468, Sandy Springs, Georgia. She worked in various positions before being promoted to customer service manager in 2006 and store manager in 2013. Aissata was promoted to her current role as district manager in 2016. She is also a recipient of the 2019 President’s Award.

 

 

 

Keith Everett

About Keith

Keith began his career in 1990 as a front service clerk at #304, Daytona Beach, Florida. He worked in various positions before being promoted to customer service manager in 1997 and store manager in 2003. Keith was promoted to district manager in 2013 and to his current role in 2016. He is also a recipient of the 2012 George W. Jenkins Award.

 

 

 

Jaz Ovcina

About Jaz

Jaz began his career in 2000 as a front service clerk at #544, Tucker, Georgia. He worked in various positions before being promoted grocery manager in 2006 and store manager in 2013. Jaz was promoted to his current role as district manager in 2015. He is also a recipient of the 2018 President’s Award.
