Ages 5 – 11 eligible for COVID-19 vaccine at Publix Pharmacy

Following recent approval by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Publix Pharmacy is providing Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations to children ages 5 – 11. Pediatric vaccinations will be available at select in-store Publix Pharmacy locations on a walk-in basis or by appointment through our online reservation system as vaccine doses arrive at each store. Same-day appointments are not available. In-person parental or legal guardian consent is required at the time of vaccination for individuals under the age of 18.  

Eligibility 

Eligible individuals ages 5 and older may receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Publix Pharmacy also continues to offer 1st, 2nd, 3rd and booster doses of the Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines to eligible individuals. Eligibility details are available at cdc.gov/coronavirus

Availability

COVID-19 vaccinations are provided at in-store Publix Pharmacy locations: 

  • Moderna: all locations 
  • Pfizer: select locations
  • Johnson & Johnson: select locations 

You can use the online reservation system to see if a nearby Publix Pharmacy offers your preferred vaccine. You can also visit vaccines.gov to find the nearest Publix Pharmacy offering the Pfizer (adult or pediatric) or Johnson & Johnson vaccines, or walk into any Publix Pharmacy to ask. 

Online appointments

Appointments are encouraged for the most efficient vaccination experience and to ensure the preferred vaccine is available. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or the Publix Pharmacy.

Your Publix gift card

If you choose to receive or have already received the full COVID-19 vaccine series (2 doses of Moderna or Pfizer; 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson), you can receive a $125 Publix gift card. Visit the COVID-19 Vaccine page for more details.

Costs and insurance

If you are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, it is provided at no cost to you, while supplies last. Be prepared to provide your health insurance card or red, white and blue Medicare Part B card. If you don’t have insurance, you will need to provide your driver’s license or Social Security number.
