May 12, 2021

May 12 – Results
Today, we announced our register donation campaign raised more than $160,000 for the American Red Cross’ Spring Tornadoes and Floods relief efforts. The week-long campaign ran in our Atlanta Division to support those affected by the severe weather across the South. In addition, Publix Super Markets Charities donated $100,000 in total to local United Ways and the American Red Cross to help support relief efforts for those impacted by the storms.

“When disaster strikes, our customers and associates look for ways to help our communities recover,” said Director of Community Relations Dwaine Stevens. “We’re grateful for their incredible generosity and support during these difficult times.”
“The destruction left behind by these storms is devastating,” said American Red Cross Regional Executive Eric Corliss. “The support provided by Publix customers and associates, as well as the donation from Publix Super Markets Charities, will help those affected begin the long journey of recovery.”

March 29 – Donations

Today, we activated a register donation program to allow customers and associates to make donations to support those impacted by recent weather events.

Customers may donate any amount by adding it to their grocery totals when checking out at registers throughout our Atlanta Division. Donations will be channeled through the Red Cross and designated specifically for Spring Tornadoes and Floods relief. The end date for the program will be determined based on customer response.

“We’re saddened by the destruction in communities in the Southeast due to the tornadoes, and know they will need help to rebuild,” said Director of Community Relations Dwaine Stevens. “It is our privilege to offer a way to assist our neighbors in their time of need.”

Additionally, Publix Super Markets Charities is donating a total of $100,000 to the Red Cross and United Way to support relief efforts for the affected areas.
