FMI, the Food Industry Association, has proclaimed Feb. 22, 2021, Supermarket Employee Day, to recognize employees in the industry for the work they do feeding families and enriching lives.

The role of the supermarket has never been more essential than it has been during the pandemic. The past year hasn’t been easy, but you have made incredible efforts to keep your communities going. You have made a difference in the lives of your customers and each other. 

Today retail associates will enjoy an in-store celebration and support associates will receive cake in the cafeteria. Thank you for continuing to serve our customers, communities and each other. On this Supermarket Employee Day — and every day — we appreciate you.
