Former U.S. Senator Robert Joseph “Bob” Dole, who served in the Army with distinction during World War II, died Sunday, Dec. 5. He was 98.
As a mark of solemn respect for Bob Dole, who he called “a statesman like few in our history and a war hero among the greatest of the Greatest Generation,” President Biden has ordered all U.S. flags to be flown at half-staff until sunset Thursday, Dec. 9. Publix support locations will lower all flags to half-staff.
