Moderna COVID-19 vaccine appointments open in 3 states

April 12, 2021

Publix is opening its online reservation system on Tuesday, April 13, at 7 a.m. Eastern time for Moderna COVID-19 vaccination appointments at select Georgia, South Carolina and Virginia Publix Pharmacy locations.

Although individuals ages 16 and older will be eligible in all 3 states, the Moderna vaccine is only authorized for those 18 years of age and older.

Your Publix gift card

Associates who choose to be vaccinated can receive a $125 Publix gift card after completing the full COVID-19 vaccination. Visit the COVID-19 Vaccine page for more details.

Appointments during associate-only dedicated times (except Virginia)

Appointments are available at specific times on a first-come, first-served basis and must be scheduled for when you’re off the clock, including the observation period. Vaccinations will be provided at Publix in-store pharmacies in all states except Virginia. If your store does not have a pharmacy, you can talk with your store manager or assistant store manager about being vaccinated during the dedicated appointment times at a vaccinating store in the same state. To ensure proper coverage in your work area and prevent the vaccine from being wasted, your manager will help schedule appointments.
