Georgia update: Ages 16+ can get COVID-19 vaccination

March 24, 2021

Starting tomorrow, individuals ages 16 and older in the state of Georgia are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. We encourage, but do not require, associates to get vaccinated.

Publix Pharmacy administers the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, which are only authorized for use in individuals 18 years of age and older. Georgia associates ages 16 and 17 are encouraged to find sites administering the Pfizer vaccine, which is approved for ages 16 and older.

Eligibility

Georgia Publix Pharmacy locations can administer COVID‑19 vaccinations to individuals ages 18 and older who live or work in the state.

Associates who choose to be vaccinated can receive a $125 Publix gift card after completing the full COVID-19 vaccination. More details will be available later this month.

Vaccinations are provided by appointment only, while supplies last, through the online reservation system at publix.com/covidvaccine. You can use the online reservation system to learn if appointments are available at your nearby store.

The reservation system opens Thursday, March 25, at 7 a.m. Eastern time for Moderna vaccination appointment times on Monday, March 29, through Friday, April 2. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or the Publix Pharmacy.

Receiving your Publix gift card

We’re currently developing the process to request your $125 Publix gift card. To qualify for the gift card, you must
