Publix honors victims of Afghanistan attack

On Aug. 26, an attack at the Kabul airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, killed more than 85 people, including 13 U.S. soldiers. 

As a mark of solemn respect for the U.S. service members and other victims killed in the attack, President Biden has ordered the U.S. flag to be lowered to half-staff until sunset Monday, Aug. 30. All Publix support locations will lower flags to half-staff. 

Our Publix family is extremely grateful for the military personnel who protect our country at home and abroad each and every day. Our thoughts are with the friends, families and loved ones of those lost yesterday.
