COVID-19 third doses available at Publix Pharmacy

In response to new guidance provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Publix Pharmacy is providing third doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to individuals who are moderately to severely immunocompromised. Third doses are available by appointment through our online reservation system or on a walk-in basis.

Publix Pharmacy continues to provide first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible individuals.

Eligibility 

In accordance with CDC guidelines, individuals who are moderately to severely immunocompromised are eligible to receive a third dose of the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Eligibility details can be found at cdc.gov/coronavirus.

Third doses are recommended to be provided 28 days or more after the second dose and should be the same brand as an individual’s previous doses.

Availability

The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is available at all in-store locations. The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is offered at in-store locations in Brevard, Duval, Orange and Polk counties in Florida. 

Parental consent

For the Pfizer vaccine, in-person parental or legal guardian consent is required at the time of vaccination for individuals ages 12 – 17. 

Online appointments

Appointments are encouraged for the most efficient vaccination experience and to ensure the preferred vaccine is available. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or the Publix Pharmacy.

Your Publix gift card

If you choose to be vaccinated, you can receive a $125 Publix gift card after completing the full COVID-19 vaccination. Visit the COVID-19 Vaccine page for more details.

Costs and insurance

COVID-19 vaccinations are provided at no cost to you. Be prepared to provide your health insurance card or red, white and blue Medicare Part B card. If you don’t have insurance, have your driver’s license or Social Security number available to complete your registration.
