It’s been 90 years since Mr. George opened the first Publix Food Store in Winter Haven, Florida, on Sept. 6, 1930. Since the very start, we’ve been passionately focused on taking care of people: our associates, our customers and our communities. From introducing our deli and bakery departments to filling the first prescription at our Publix Pharmacy, we look back on the last 9 decades of premier service in the latest episode of Publix Stories!
