Deadlines approaching for CARES Act assistance

Under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Publix adopted coronavirus-related distributions (CRDs) through its retirement plans. 

Deadlines to request CRDs from the retirement plans   

  • 401(k) SMART Plan 
    o Contact Voya at 1 888-401k-PLN (1-888-401-5756). Customer service associates are available Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time (except on stock market holidays).
    • If your SMART plan account is invested in the Publix Stock Fund: the deadline to request a CRD is Friday, Oct. 30 by 4 p.m. Eastern time. A CRD cannot be taken from assets held in the Publix Stock Fund after this date.
    • All other funds: the deadline to request a CRD from your non-Publix Stock Fund assets is Wednesday, Dec. 30 by 4 p.m. Eastern time.
  • PROFIT plan:
    • o Request CRD forms by contacting the Publix retirement department. The deadline for the forms to be received by the retirement department is Friday, Dec. 4 by 4:30 p.m. Eastern time.
