Leaders recognized with most prestigious awards

Last night at our Retail Operations Conference, 12 managers were recognized for their leadership, service and commitment.
“These managers exemplify the values George Jenkins founded our company on,” said President Kevin Murphy. “I’m proud of their accomplishments and grateful for their dedication to making Publix a great place to work and shop.”
George W. Jenkins Award
Named after our late founder, this award was presented to five store managers and a support leader who exemplify leadership, perpetuate our culture and demonstrate commitment to Mr. George’s vision. The 2019 recipients are- Atlanta Division — Store Manager Joe Blaszczak, #882, Birmingham, Ala.
- Charlotte Division — Store Manager Michael Millien, #1514, Wake Forest, N.C.
- Jacksonville Division — Store Manager Kelly Wilson, #812, Orlando, Fla.
- Lakeland Division — Store Manager Dan Murphy, #828, Sarasota, Fla.
- Miami Division — Store Manager Nick Abiusi, #228, Jupiter, Fla., and
- Support — Pharmacy Operations Manager Kathy Leonard, Miami Division.

President’s Award
This award is given to district managers and a support leader who embody our founding philosophies. Recipients have proven their dedication to fairness, mentoring future leaders, and maintaining the dignity, value and employment security of their associates. The 2019 recipients are

- Charlotte Division — Regional Director Joey Riddle (promoted Feb. 1, 2020)
- Jacksonville Division — District Manager Johnny Hankerson
- Lakeland Division — District Manager Greg Chambless (two-time recipient)
- Miami Division — District Manager Charles Anderson and
- Support — Senior Manager of Business Analysis and Reporting Frank Maggio.
