More than 7,500 associates participate in Publix Serves Day

For the fifth consecutive year, associates across our seven-state operating area are volunteering at more than 180 local nonprofit organizations whose primary focus is on the plight of the hungry, homeless and children.

Some of the volunteer activities include painting, landscaping, packing and serving meals, stocking pantries and performing afterschool activities with youth.

“Publix Serves is a way to unite our associates and follow our founder’s vision to give back,” said Maria Brous, director of media and community relations. “This program empowers associates to support the communities where they live and work, and to see the impactful difference they make firsthand.”
